What to Expect in the 2019 Mazda CX-3

It may be difficult to believe, but the 2019 versions of all your favorite new Mazda cars aren’t too far off from hitting the lot of our Mazda dealership near Columbia, MD. The first one that we’ve been able to gather some information about is the 2019 Mazda CX-3, which will be the newest update of the smallest SUV that the automaker manufactures. The upcoming SUV will feature new innovations when it comes to safety, technology, and the powertrain.

The first thing that you’ll notice about the four-door, five-seat SUV is the revamped exterior. The seven-bar grille insert gets a bolder treatment with four more interesting bars, while the lower bumped gets new chrome accents that are echoed on the lower doors. The new Soul Red Crystal paint will add onto the already extensive color options for the body. New 18-inch wheels with shiny spokes and new low-profile tires round out the changes on the exterior of the SUV. Moving on to the interior, the higher trim levels will have full-leather seat surfaces, featuring prominent stitching and pleated piping. You’ll also find new faux suede trim and shiny red accents on the climate vents.

Compared to the 2018 Mazda CX-3, the upcoming model will also feature an improved console. The parking brake will now be electronic, there will be additional console storage and an integrated armrest, which is something that’s rare in the subcompact SUV segment. Looking under the hood, the engineers at Mazda retooled the 2.0-liter engine to crank out 148 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. Mazda says this new tuning will increase torque across the RPM range.

Look for the 2019 Mazda CX-3 to hit our lot in the coming months!
