Instead of buying a car, many people decide to lease. This route offers a lot of benefits, including money savings and flexibility. If you are considering a Mazda lease, it’s equally important to know about the restrictions, including mileage.

So, How Much Can You Drive?

Leases vary, but in a typical contract, you will be able to drive 12,000 miles per year. With some, that may be as high as 15,000 or as low as 10,000. This is why you need to know what you’re signing up for because if you go over the limit, you will be charged up to 25 cents a mile.

If you don’t do a lot of driving, a standard lease could work out well for you. But, if you have a long commute or otherwise find yourself behind the wheel often, inquire about a high-mileage lease. These offer an allotment of around 18,000 to 20,000 miles per year. The trade-off is that you will likely have higher monthly payments.

Why Lease a MAZDA Car?

Leasing offers a short-term, low-commitment option for driving a new car. Lease payments are often less than a loan payment because you are only responsible for paying toward the depreciation value of the vehicle. If you buy, your payments reflect the entire sticker price.

The lease-end process is simple and hassle-free, and you also have a few options to consider. Generally, there are three routes you can take: purchase the vehicle you’d been leasing, lease a new car, or turn in your keys and walk away.
