SUVs and crossovers continue to get more popular, so it's no surprise that the Mazda brand is adding another spacious model to its lineup. The Mazda CX-90 has been in the works for a while, but we still don't have all of the details about what it will look like when it arrives here at Heritage Mazda Catonsville. Here's what we know about this 2024 model so far.
Plenty of Interior Room
We expect the 2024 Mazda CX-90 to be a three-row model, much like the current Mazda CX-9 SUV. That could mean that it will offer seating for up to seven or eight people.
It's likely to offer seats that can be folded down, so you can make room for plenty of cargo too.
A Potent Turbo Engine
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is expected to offer a more powerful engine than the turbocharged versions currently found in Mazda models.
According to recent rumors, this could be the first Mazda vehicle to use a new turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with an output of more than 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. If you're looking for driving thrills, the Mazda brand will continue to deliver.
Confidence and Traction
This Mazda SUV is also expected to come standard with an i-Activ AWD® system. Tough terrain and bad weather won't be a problem for the 2024 Mazda CX-90.
A Greener Variant
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 might also be offered as a plug-in hybrid. It could use a green powertrain from a European model that produces 323 horsepower. We also expect a small, all-electric driving range of 25 to 35 miles on a full charge.
