Thanks to improvements to things like performance and technology, new Mazda cars are made even better every year. Another area that often gets enhancements is safety, as systems are continually added and tweaked. Here, Heritage Mazda Catonsville explains how a new company partnership will help give drivers even more peace of mind.

AAA and HAAS

Chances are good that you are a member of the American Automobile Association (AAA), as there are millions across the U.S. and Canada. For decades, this organization has been counted on to provide roadside assistance to stranded drivers. Mazda is now collaborating with AAA, along with connected vehicle safety leader HAAS Alert, to make the roads safer for everybody.

How This Collaboration Protects

If you’re out driving and get a flat tire, for example, you can request assistance through the MyMazda® app or by calling a phone number. Then an AAA-affiliated service provider will be sent out to your location. At the same time, thanks to HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud® Protect service, drivers in the area can receive digital alerts letting them know that they may need to slow down or move over.

“Some of the most dangerous moments on the road happen after the initial event, when other drivers come up on a stopped or disabled vehicle without warning,” said Jennifer Morrison, Director of Vehicle Safety Strategy at Mazda North American Operations. “By working with AAA and HAAS Alert, we're extending the protection of a Mazda vehicle to not only our customers, but also to everyone on the road around it."
